SHAMANTRA
is deep, sacred play for adults designed to help individuals remember the natural, joyous rhythms of their heart and voice. On this playful, percussive journey we will focus on expanding your personal power through the rhythmic connection we make with ourselves and each other. Using movement, voice, body percussion, and bypassing the analytical mind, SHAMANTRA is about finding and expanded sense of freedom and expression. No prior experience is necessary and all levels are welcomed.


Saffire Bouchelion
is a Nia Black Belt who has been practicing Nia for 15 years. He is also a professional performer and musician who has been featured on over 38 CD's, presently playing with Fools in Paradise and his Infinitia Art Ensemble. Saffire Co-founded 2 experimental dance companies in 1986 and 1989 and has performed with the Danelle Helander Dance Company and Mergence Dance Theater. He was co-director of The Ecstatic Choir for 7 years, 5 at Naropa University and has taught drumming and vocal workshops throughout the U.S., Europe, and Mexico. Distilling his knowledge of the body, rhythm, and voice, Saffire developed SHAMANTRA which he began teaching internationally in 2006.


Nia
is a Body/Mind/Emotion/Spirit fitness and lifstyle practice where we use expressive movement, the body's way, to create health and wellness throughout the whole being. It is cardio-vascular for the physical body and cleansing for the soul. By being present in the body now, Nia cultivates pleasure and the joy of movement which naturally leads to self-healing, a key ingredient of Holistic Fitness.
